Sophie Lehman, a dancer born and raised in Orlando, Florida, discovered her passion for dance as an apprentice under the guidance of Dawn Branch. She continued her training at the University of North Carolina School for the Arts (UNCSA), where she studied under esteemed faculty members Brenda Daniels, Sean Sullivan, Trish Casey, Ming-Lung Yang, and Kira Blazek Zii. At UNCSA, Sophie performed in notable works such as "Missa Brevis" staged by Sean Sullivan, "Trying on the Space" created by Juel D. Lane, and in Ashley Lindsey's "What Once Was Familiar." In 2020, she transitioned to Florida State University, pursuing her BFA and studying under instructors, including Gwen Welliver, Ilana Goldman, Kara Wilkins, Jawole Willa Jo Zollar, and Caleb Mitchell. During her time at Florida State, Sophie showcased her choreography in two distinct works, "Behind the Curtain" and "Leave Me Here Forever," featured in their "Days of Dance" event. As a current marketing intern at Steps on Broadway, Sophie merges her love for dance with effective marketing abilities, actively participating in the studio's promotional endeavors and community connections.
